4.6DreameR Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Amp: Refubished T400-4 about 2 years old now. When I pulg in the rear channel RCAs the amp causes a terrible squealing noise in all 4 speakers. Even when the amps switch is on 2 channel and the RCAs are plugged in the noise happens. When they are not plugged in, no noise. Is this something I could fix with my limited knowledge of amps? TeamHirshAudio Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 You know i had this same problem.. for me it would only squeal for a little while and sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't. Once i upgraded alternators it never made that noise again. That could be it, it could not be it just throwing out an idea.
Guest Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 try new rca's out. plug Front rca's from the headunit into the Rear on the amp. see if noise persists.
KronicHigh Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Have you tried new rca's? Some people with RF amps had issues if there mounted to metal also. Have another amp you can test the connection with? Could be a ground loop issue. Some Pioneer H/u's have pico fuse problems which can cause squeal/alt whine etc. How is everything currently set up? I just went out an swapped RCA's around and its fine now! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was about to buy another amp if I couldn't figure out this problem.
