Tseng2394
I was driving today with the volume up and everything was all good until suddenly the speakers would go off when the bass would hit. This only happens at high volumes. Im running a p400-4 and p1000 Quote AlphaDamp CLD Mat - Get more Sound Deadening with less Sound Deadener
Guest
my guess is voltage drop. do you have the big 3 done? are your grounds bolted to the frame/strut tower with the paint sanded off?
Kyblack76
my guess is voltage drop. do you have the big 3 done? are your grounds bolted to the frame/strut tower with the paint sanded off? X2 with Kranny (as usual) do BOTH amps, and drivers on those amps stop? or just one, and not the other? Like K said, if your losing BOTH, then voltage/ground and anything with both has to be the issue......Meter time.... Tseng2394
Losing just one... Had the voltage checked yesterday and it checked out Quote AlphaDamp CLD Mat - Get more Sound Deadening with less Sound Deadener
Skullz
Bad connection on either ground or power so when it hits hard it breaks the connection and shuts the amp down. Check every connection on power and ground and see which one is not tightened making a good solid connection. Tseng2394
The amps are running off a distribution block. Every connection seems to be fine. Could the battery be the problem? t-money
Losing just one... Had the voltage checked yesterday and it checked out im guessing this means u went to an auto parts store and had them check your voltage? that will not tell you if you have volage drop. you need to put a meter on the amps and monitor the voltage when it shuts off Quote 2002 ford focus hatch pioneer DEH-P8400bh infinity kappa 6.5 components front and rear XS Power D1200 Shuriken BT-100 audioque 120.4 2 15 inch audioque HDC3 D2 2 audioque 2200d big 3 mechman 220a alt with external regulator 479-418-3056

They checked the voltage at every point needed. All checked out Quote AlphaDamp CLD Mat - Get more Sound Deadening with less Sound Deadener
