Omega5002
It should be fine, I don't know about louder, but it'll probably sound better though. Junior Russell
that all depends cuz ive only ever used stock hu with aftermarket speaks once and it wasnt 10 mins after i got home from buyin the truck and i had an aftermarket hu in but with the idea thats going through my head it should allow diff frequency responses and allow it to be louder and it may project more but the stock hu can only produce so much and on top of that the stock hu has a cutoff on volume....ie my hu is a jvc and it will push the stock speakers and provide bass to the doors where as my bro in laws hu is a panosonic and it allows loud like loud speaker loud but not very mych bass at all oh and what i mean by cutoff on the volume is at a certain point even hen you keep turning it up it will turn up the actual volume very little like itll go up 1 for every 1 until that point then itll drop to like .5 or something for every 1....make sense?
