Alright well I currently was in the market for a 2-3k RMS 18" but after looking at how sexy those damn SA-8 V2s are I was shifting more towards doing 4 8's instead. I have a DAT 2500.1 prototype to power them. Now I've owned an 18" BTL before but never a set of 8's, just wanted to hear what the crowd here had to say about my change of plans. YAY? or NAY? lol

Less cone area if you're only doing 4. But they are beasty little fuckers, that's for sure.

Yeah, understand less cone area. But 4 8's would look sexy all bumpin together. Or I could snag 6 8's that would push me over the cone area for an 18" hehe

Good information to know, would anyone be willing to sketch me up a box maybe? Max dimensions are 20H x 40W x 20D. Would be much appreciated!
