itsjussed
what is the most used gauge wire for those purposes? Where does the power wire of the equalizer go and can it come off the distribution block ?
HatersGonnaHate
I'm using 16ga for remote, power, and ground. Power can come from any 12v constant like distro block or battery. Remote goes to the h/u remote, ground to a known good ground. Ballen194
In using 12 for power and ground and 16 for remote. But 16 will work all around. siucsaluki11
I've had one of these for 5 years, never installed it, do you guys like them? I have a din spot left under my HU thats currently just a tray to hold cigs and lighters and what not, but if the EQ on that thing is nice, ill look at fitting it into my car, i think i lost all the mounting hardware though... HatersGonnaHate
I love it man. It's great. And it should fit into your DIN pocket with no problems, I didn't use the hardware to mount mine, but it was a 1/2 DIN pocket, so it slid in tight and didn't move around at all. siucsaluki11
Hmm...then i may be able to install it real easy, damn spring time, i can't fight the urge to tear my car apart and tinker with shit. To top it off, I'm in the middle of a huge project/production for school. Don't have time for this but when i get home I'm most likely going to rip out my back seat, figure out my sub amp situation, then work on tearing my dash out, and work on fitting that guy in...im wondering if i could slide the ESQ into the slot under my HU, find where it would sit, drill holes and mount it that way...i may have all the parts in a box somewhere in the crawlspace, idk. If i were to mount this properly, I'm trying to figure out how it would fit in there (not just sliding it into the tray an drilling holes for the wires to pass through. 7V beats the outs from my 9887's 5V outs, I'm thinking since I'm crossed actively at the HU ill just run the front out (on ESQ) for my highs, rear out (on ESQ) for my miss and sub for my sub. plus i can just use a cheap stereo 1/4 to RCA splitter to use my iPod....im thinking more and more i may rip my dash out (which is a BITCH iirc, its been ~3 years and lots of killing brain cells for some of those, since I've pulled my dash) and putting this guy in.... IBleedMusick
I never tried that on mine, damn maybe it would have fit snug for me as well. I custom mounted mine and it took 16 gauge my Stinger 12 gauge was too thick for the hole (that's what she said ).
