anyone know where i could get my amp tested , or if i could do it myself with a meter or something ? .. i bought it off HDA and it didnt come with one, which i think is really shitty.

nope. how would i go about doing that .. and would it give me an accurate reading ?

what kind of amp is it? say it's a 1000 watt amp, you'd adjust the settings to where the output voltage reads about 31.62. because if you take the output voltage and square it, it'll give you the wattage (31.62^2 = 999.xx). kinda like when tuning the amp when installing it. so if the amp wasnt a true 1000 watt amp, it may not have that 31.62 volt output when setting it. that's they way i'd go about checking it without taking it somewhere to get it benched

np man. just fyi, the voltage should read 44.7214. but being a t20001 i'm sure it'll pass the test easily

so whatever im getting on the multimeter i just square square that.

so say its reading 52.91

if i calculated it my watts should be 2799.46 watts

what kind of volume or amp settings should i be set at when i meter it ?

75% of full volume. all settings on the cd player set to 0. use a test tone of 50-60 hz

Ya, were u promised it in the auction? You bought it refurbished, the birth certs come with NEW amps.

Just cause your cheap and don't buy new it's not HDA's fault. It says in theit auctions they are usually not included.

You paid 575.00 bucks for a t2001, go buy it at 1100 and u will get one.

It would be nice I agree, hell I imagine most would drop another 20 bucks for the certs. It's a perk of buying it new.
