if i remember correctly, the D series batteries can be used under the hood, or as a secondary battery.. however, the xp series is only to be used as a secondary battery, not under the hood.

xp has quicker discharge rate vs the d series.

I would say go with D, only reason you would need an XP is if you're going to run your system with your car off, I mean that's the way I see it, otherwise why the XP? I mean you're going to have your car on anyways if you're bumpin your system right? So that you always keep a charge and keep your voltage at 14~
