w87will
Just wondering if there are additional sensors, speakers, lights or anything like that you can add onto a viper alarm system. Website would be great if you have them. I saw this on youtube..... http://youtube.com/watch?v=9OsjB1M8PuQ Looking for things like this, Thanks. KckrL5s
Be warned, DEI(viper/python/hornet..etc) has some bad customer service, if you arent a authorized installer they wont help you at all. I called and asked about getting my brain unlocked so I could add another remote and they wouldnt tell me one thing about what I needed to do, not even to take it to an authorized installer. Good alarm...bad service. Eventually I found out i need the bitwriter or the pc connector to unlock it. Quote 2009 spring fling-iasca-rookie 1-Champion. 139.4db. Its a good thing they dont just hand out that info to the public. id be hesitant to buy an alarm if that much info is leaked out. Yes, maybe they should have told you to go to an authorize dealer, but thats a given if they told you that you arent an authorized installer they wont give you info BTW its in your manual of your alarm on how to add another remote, I did it on mine. Shyne151
Actually if you are in the industry DEI has some of the best support I've ever dealt with. The information they offer they don't get for free, so of course they aren't going to give it out to joe schmo. Don't get the voice module you will regret it... i don't even think they produce them anymore(still available, just not made). And to the previous poster, are you sure your alarm brain was locked? autolearn on most is turn the key to on press valet once... then once more and hold. hit lock on your remote and you're programmed.
