Do you guys think putting a sealed chamber over the motors will make this car any louder?Basically making it a 4th order and cutting down some of the trunk rattle and flex this thing has. Jessica Posted May 20, 2012 Report Share Posted May 20, 2012 I was just wondering, you are sealed off from the truck right? so closing the trunk lid turns it into a fourth order sort of. This is just me being crazy but what if you ported between trunk and cabin, using the trunk as the back half of the box? Probably never work. is it louder with trunk open or closed? Maybe you could find a way to just vent the trunk so there is less air pressure. This is just me letting my brain do it's thing, usually it's never good. Real96SS Posted May 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 20, 2012 It sounds better with the trunk open because you don't hear all that rattling.The car is ported through the rear deck.This is the 79 Caprice that Pat Stone built.The guy wasn't too happy with a 144 on the meter so now he wants to try and squeeze more out of it and the Italians told him that doing this would raise his score.He said he wants to try it so if he does I will do a before and after for you guys for sure.
