quakecitystudio
I like the box and the fact that the port is curved. The only thing that bothers me about the subs up and port back, is that from what I've seen on here (on the forum), they don't seem to do well on numbers even when they are noticeably loud and move alot of air. Could it be that there's too much pressure being loss from flexing the roof with all that sound pressure. I'm curious how it would sound if you "mouthed" the top of the box with a port firing towards the front, so that sound only travels towards the front of the vehicle. In a way, when you look at the box from the front of the vehicle, it is like a "Quasi-Sixth Order Series-Tuned Bandpass" (from the12volt.com) with the first port being the space between the back of the box and the rear hatch, and the 2nd port being the spacing from the top of the box to the roof. My only issue is that this "second port being the gap from roof to top of box" is flexing, thus losing sound pressure going towards the front, and that it's distance from the top of the box is different than the spacing of the rear of the box to the back hatch. Correct me if I'm wrong. But keep up the good work, because this system is definitely brutal! Bass Music Producer • Photographer • Graphic Designer -------------- Deep Sector Boom... kandiman71874
Sorry, but i have to laugh at everyone saying it isnt loud at even a 56. Those are numbers on music people, Not burps. You really need to learn what you are talking about b4 you start typing. Musical numbers are a totally different ball game from a burp score. Especially at lower frequencies...
