Sutliff
Here's one, from the inside ... sound of CAI, Inc. intake & FM Super 44's ... (Let me search for the exterior exhaust ones. Keeping in mind, without internal mods, no N/A 3800 sounds good through almost any exhaust mods, muffs, resonators, CATs, etc.) ... & thank you all for the kind words, ... about my footwear. Grrr! Sutliff
... Also, ... here is my tail, brake(s), signal, & parking LEDs from SuperBrightLEDs DOT com. Each signal, brake, & tail fixture has either 45 RED or 45 AMBER SMD LEDs per fixture - & the "SMD" here does not stand for Mr. Meade' Design! ALL 45 are lit when the flasher is ON, & ALL are lit when at "rest" ... All 45 brighten when activated, not just half. They are very, very bright at night - I have even had a friend semi-complain after riding behind me.Some might notice I do not have any of the "hyper-flash" issues ... I originally bought the resistors to quell that phenomenon, but found someone in NJ who rebuilds the flashers for these GM cars - Monte Carlo, Impala, Malibu - & that is all I had to have done. These front turns are identicle to the rears, only these are obviously the AMBERs. Any questions? Sutliff
I don't really intend for this to be a "showing off", but I have had quite a few folks on the WWW doubt that I get a decent sound from this IB set-up, so this is the first video I have ever made of the system at work. Kevin M
Nice. I am always down to see an IB setup. With the right drivers they can get plenty loud. 140 db+. I had one with 2 18 around two years ago and am going back to one this fall. They are so musical it is hard to go back to a box. 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle

Sutliff
As most might've read before, I am somewhat disabled, so my Pop had to crawl in the trunk, from the cabin, to remove the Kicker Comps I had been running for almost a year: Always gotta have the right tool(s) for the job: The Comps had to come out because there was no way we could install a network board (one side) / amp rack (the other) with them in there. Believe it or not, for what they are, these Kicker 12's & ZX.550.3 3-channel set-up did rather well, for my needs ... So we took to getting some cardboard, & to making a template: [/url] A piece of scrap 3/4" plywood was going to work just fine, ... no need to bail out to Home Depot, etc., for a half-sheet for $20. And even if it did look like shit, ... Who cares? It gets covered up in the end, right?: This was important enough to me that it was "Measure 3 times, then again, cut once": I knew I needed to recess the board a couple inches on the "seat side" so I could be sure that with the seat folded up, & with folks back there - which is a rarity - it would not hit the breakers to trip them off, or crack/break the nice covers of the Infinity x-overs. So we ripped some 2x4's in half & used 2x2's to frame it all the way around. Glued & screwed, my friends: Zeke '14 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Vehicle Details & Mod List: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/1703-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss/ Audio Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143276-2003-chevy-monte-carlo-ss-audio-build-ib-build Pioneer FH-P8000BT Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Fi IB3 (Two 12", 2-ohm SVC) RF T400-2 & T500-1bdCP MechMan S Series 240A XS Power D3400 & D975
Sutliff
Now it was time to figure out the placement of the amps. I knew they were going to have to be vertical, but side-to-side, I was not sure how I wanted them ... I only knew I wanted the T500-1 on the left. Do not ask why ... it was just a Tourette Syndrome / OCD thing. Here they are with the KnuKonceptz Kolossus Fleks Kable - 4awg: I decided on centering them, & then separating them 10", ... so I could still get a small screwdriver in between to adjust them accordingly. Next I drilled some power cable holes: Time to flip it over & decide where to align the x-overs, breakers, distribution blocks, etc.: Time to cover the whole deal, but first I made a wire "diagram" in marker, then took a photo of it so I had an idea of where things were going to go: Zeke '14 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Vehicle Details & Mod List: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/1703-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss/ Audio Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143276-2003-chevy-monte-carlo-ss-audio-build-ib-build Pioneer FH-P8000BT Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Fi IB3 (Two 12", 2-ohm SVC) RF T400-2 & T500-1bdCP MechMan S Series 240A XS Power D3400 & D975
