Members of SMD, Advice, tips, tricks, suggestions, and experience for Phase 1 in the DD9512 trunk build

Hello SMD, I am just looking for some main points I should make sure to cover when doing this build.

I am not looking to own the meter as much as possible. I am looking to do this build on as much of a budget as possible. this is a daily driver so no wall suggestions ahhaa. complete trunk build. but budget friendly.

I am using 2 DD 9512 fs on 1 DD M1C a piece.

I am just looking for general tips that you guys think are crucial that you would never leave out of a build. And any major tips from you trunk car guys. i am going to fire forward.

For the box see what the manufacturer recommends. Then get creative with it. I am not familiar with that brand so dont know to much about what to run em at or electrical. But, this should help keep this post on top to help get some answers. Just be careful with the cheap products. Do research on it to help save ya any kind of problems that could come.

I also read up on terry brocks (who also uses DD 15s) been in contact with him as well. and JLH2003.

And clnfreak and armykyle.

i just wanted to see your opinion ray. considering you are on the top 100 list of installers and all. You might have some input.

maybe you can tell me if im on right page. plus none of those guys except terry uses DD. DD box designs are slightly larger

looking at 5 cubes net maybe a lil more and 2 6 inch aeros flared at both ends. or traditional slot port.

I have made plenty of boxes for my hdc3 12's I tried all placements I could think of and I keep going back to one box. Side firing aeros (four 4" aeros) forward firing subs.

I'd say about 4.5 cubs net. Two 6" or Four 4" aeros or 1 8" aero. As for the placement you will just have to try different styles. My car seems to like side firing port and subs towards the front or back not much of a difference for daily but forward firing seems to be a little better and not as much trunk flex.
