Amp for 2 12" RE SeX

I have 2 12" RE SeX subs with 4 Ohm DVC's. I'm looking to upgrade the amplifier. RE's website rates them for 600W RMS but I've heard of people going higher. Currently they are running off of a Pioneer GM-D8500M. Link here Its a "1200 Watt" amplifier, but with the subs wired to a 4 Ohm load the amplifier is pushing "300 Watts" so about 150 a sub. That only ONE QUARTER of what RE rates them. And they pound pretty hard right now, lol

So the question! What would a good, affordable amplifier be to power these subs? They are in a cheap-o sealed box, but that will be upgraded in the near future.

I'm prepared to upgrade, I have some 2 Gauge wire I got cheap run to feed an amplifier when I upgrade.

Any suggestions? Tips? Hints?

Thanks!

I had looked at that amp. I'm glad somebody else thought it would be good too. Now I just need to get the money to buy one. I can't wait to finally have these subs pushing at their maximum capacity. Every time I upgrade it just leaves me wanting more!

i run 2 RE AUDIO RSX D2 12s and runin 650w RMS to each sub and have not had a problem with them at all, and they are only rated for 350w RMS a sub. so ya the SEX subs can take like 1200 rms i would say. i run a PPI 2000.1 and it goes for like $250 -$300 online . and does 2000 w RMS @ 1ohm . u could run your 2 subs @ 1ohm for 1000 rms on each.
