David Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Hey Steve, How much and where can I get enough resin and fleece to do a box about that same size?Home Depot. :^ you can get resin there and some horrible glass chop mat but i wouldnt buy it, go to www.tapplastics.com or go to a fiberglass speciality store in your city and get the right stuff to do it, it will cost you less in the end and be 10x stronger. Trust me, on this I learned the hardway Quote
meade916 Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 ya i go to TAP plastics for all my fiberglass needs......for structural stuff like making a box stronger from the inside out, i use the heavy stuff like 29oz mat For stuff with lots of curves and stuff i use the smaller 3/4oz (see my honda build where i did my door panels) Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! CUT BUDDY Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 do u think 10 yrds and 4 gallons would be enough to do a 18ft3 enclosure? Quote TEAM MechMan Alternators
CUT BUDDY Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 do u suggest polyester or epoxy? or what is the difference? Quote TEAM MechMan Alternators
meade916 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Report Posted November 21, 2006 do u think 10 yrds and 4 gallons would be enough to do a 18ft3 enclosure? depends on the mat you use really. I would brace it and then glass it on the inside. Whatever you get will be a benefit so just do what you can.
