Anyone have some experience with DD1512a & 515b

Anyone got some personal experience with this? I know DD is one of those brands known well for there products being outstanding. If anyone has any personal experience with these let me know power and enclosure type. I would be wanting to put the 515b on a MB Quart fx1.600 and the 1512a(2) on a dc2.0k. I would be wanting either set ups to be hitting down to 24-25Hz.

i recently made a box for my friend for his 515c and it sounds very loud for their entry level sub.

500 rms is a good amount for this series i dont see a problem running 600rms or under to them. just make sure you dont clip them. and dont over excurt, DD subs seem to easily bend former with my experience. the box was 3.87 net tuned to 37 with about 15.5 in per foot.

the 1500 series is the best bang for your buck in my opinion.

All DD subs love box. so give it some air to breath. 2.5 cubes net should do the trick. 2.25 will work too with aroun 15-16 in sq per cube. 35-40 inches of port. 1000 clean rms is most id send to a 1500 series sub.

why do you want them to hit that low? even though DD subs get down. that is still very low and risk damage unless you tune your boxes low. but with DDs port needs that is very hard to tune low. and the DC 2k may be pushing it for those 2 1500 12s. box rise may be your friend. dont wire to .5. if you wire to 1 ohm you should be fine

I want to tune the 515 that low, or either the IVX-15, I want to be able to get down that low, so that I can see if I really like it or not. I can hit down to about 30-31Hz on what I have now, and I really like how low end feels. I just want to get a feel for how I will like it to make a final decision on my future end build.

Also I would be wiring to 1 ohm, don't want to waste money on eletrical to support .5. And as far as tuning, If I get the IVX-15, 2.5Cu ft box 29Hz tuned 14.9cuft per foot. The Fs on those is also a lot lower than the 515 so I would at most tune the 515 30Hz sinze that is it's Fs and will tuning there will atleast let me dip into the 20's. Hopefully with a good box and good DD product if I go that route, I just might be able to get down to 23-24 where I want to play around.

i had buiilt a box for 2 10s tuned to 32hz and it got down to about 24hz with no problem.....

it was an L ported type of box...and i loved them

2010 Chevrolet Cruze

Radio --- pioneer mvh-200vbt

Front/back --- alpine type s 6.5"

Sub Control --- Pac LC1

Sub Amp --- GZPA 1.4K

Sub --- GZNW 15XSPL D1

Battery - GZBP 12.2500X
