Jessica
I've never seen it done but if you could find some copper tubing that just fits on the wire and cut it to the right length and solder it on the wire like you would a terminal then put that in the power wire hole it might work. Plus your amp sliding around is bad, is your power wire fused? I hope so because if that sucker falls out and shorts you don't want a fire. ZachG
Haha yea its fused, that's the first thing I did. It's secure for now I just screwed down the amp for now. If it comes out again I'm going to get some 0 gauge reducers to 4ga which should be fine Quote 1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. SnowDrifter
Did you cut off enough insulation? It might not be fully reaching the set screw Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
ZachG
No I removed the screw to see and its in there, I just took a little drive before and it stayed in, I will take more of "my kind" of driving in a lil bit to see if they stay and wit the amp mounted Quote 1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. Riley Evan Houser
Is it by any chance alluminum? (where you keep having to tighten it)
SnowDrifter
Get some pictures up for us Also, try tightening it then taking a dry-erase marker and putting a line between the screw and the terminal so you can see if it loosens itself. bassface
can you use lock tite on the set screw?
ZachG
The set screw doesn't move, the wire like breaks apart and slides out cause I think its a crapp connection Quote 1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120.
