MustangGT
My jl 500/1 keeps turning off, how can I check to see if its the battery or the amp?
Guest
are all connections along the power wire good and tight? from the lug attaching the wire to the battery, all the way to the wire going into the amp itself. what about the ground? is it bolted to a thick piece of metal? not a piece of shit seat belt bolt? is the paint sanded off where the lug bolts to the metal? Riley Evan Houser
Don't overlook the simple things..ground, connections etc. Is your battery dropping under 12 volts?

loudNlow87
Somewhere around 13.8 - 14.7 is where (while car's on) I sit depending how hot it is. Battery is usually 12 - 12.8 off. Battery is usually 12 - 12.8 off. 12.0 is super low for a battery while sitting. its basically completely discharged at that point. you want around 12.4 to 13.
