john253a
You shouldnt be getting port noise from a 10.5x1.5 port I've built plenty of these and quite a few people on here have a few of my sa8 boxes and I alway build 0.6cuft net 8.5-9sq" of port at 32-33flat hz
A.Smo
I don't know if it matters a whole bunch, but its 1.25 inches, not 1.5. And I now realized I should've rounded the edges some. Joe X
Seems you forgot to figure for the sub displacement so your net should be 0.64 cubes, as a result you are tuned to 36.85Hz, and yes that folded port needs 45s and rounded edges to behave (too much work IMO). A.Smo
That blows. Haha. Would you recommend a bigger box? If not, I'll probably just go with the design you gave me earlier. john253a
If you can open it up fit 45 in the cnr and seal it up again and try that. Also with the last bend you want that straight to the side and not to the front, so as the sub doesn't unload straight into the port Also Didn't see the port size propley as I'm mobile but 10.5x 1.25 in 0.64net is smack on where you want be, with the exception of a but a bit lower tune would be nicer

Yes idd do a bigger box but not bigger in net cuft Idd stick with 0.6cuft net 8.5-9sq" of port 32-33flat hz and if you have some good mids 30-32hz Try not to tune over 33 flat unless you no the peek of you car or you just want load, theis still play load low at 33 and some people will even tell you to go down to 30hz But I've found 32-33flat is best for all round performance,

I dont know if I'll be able to open it up. How would I be able to tune it lower with this right now? More port? That last port piece matters? Just because of loading issues? Joe X
Install the sub backwards and the box will tune properly, see if it hits the lows as you expected, if so then redo the box to that spec, i you don't want to work a lot on the port do a simple L port, those work best. I saw a preliminar spec for the v2 and allowed for up to one cube net but that should be up to rated power, I think you are better off on what you have now. RAM_Designs
Can you go wider than 20"? That'll make the port a lot easier to deal with.
