alrighty so sort of a stupid question but im curiouse and cant seem to find a solid answer. I am running 2 ts-w3004spl subwoofers which are dual 4 ohm coils. they are ran to a prs-d5000spl amp which is a monoblock class d amp. Im pretty sure from what ive been told that it can only be wired to 1 ohm and 4 ohms but my amp will not run 1 ohm so is 4 ohms my only option?

yes that is your only option, until you get a 1 ohm stable amp. do it.

yes, if that amp is not 1ohm stable then it wont work.

if you do wire it up to 1ohm then it would get really hot and shut off on you, just run it at 4ohm till you get a better amp

btw, that amp will not put out any where near 5000w

ya i no, i should of looked before i said 5000w haha

im sure its not a bad amp but if you want louder then get a better amp, if your on a budget i would get a hifonics brz 2400.1

no way you can beat that price
