Fosgate31
Yo everybody, I have a 98 Chevy Malibu that has 4x6 speakers in the front and 6x9 speakers in the back. I want to do some modding so I can fit 6.5 speakers in the front and maybe 8 in speakers in the back but I have never modded before. Do you think this could work? Any advice would be helpful
ALPINE408
Not sure on the fronts of that car but what are the 8s gonna be used for? If the 8s are for bass adictive audio makes 6x9 subs so no modding is needed there Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown?

Fosgate31
The 8's are gonna be for my mids as well as the 6.5's. I have infinity 4x6s in the front that sound like shit lol so I definitely want to replace those with 6.5's if all possible

Fosgate31
don't 8" have more bass than 6x9s?
LZTYBRN
To say one size speaker has more bass than another is... just wrong. However, 8's will probably have a slightly larger cone area than 6x9's. You say the 8's are gonna be for mids, then you say you want them for bass? You might as well just get subwoofers.
