alright this thing is almost done! got a secret top piece in the works thats gonna add some flare to this thing :) but heres the rundown of the last few days of work i did on this.

first off, got the front on, test fit in the trunk with woofer. voila!

p11200121024x768.jpg

p11200131024x768.jpg

p11200141024x768.jpg

next step was to paint the edge of the port, we built the box to have the front edge stick out a 1/4 inch because it overlaps and forms a better seal.

p11200151024x768.jpg

finished that. next up was carpeting the visible parts of the box.(just the front)

p11200161024x768.jpg

p11200171024x768.jpg

woohoo it looks half dressed right now :P

alright then we started to make trim wings, we made cardboard templates first, and cut them out of the same 3/4 birch ply that was left over. and had to play around to angle the sides so it fit right and didnt stick out too much(i dont have a pic, but basically instead of the edge of the board being flat its at a 45degree angle to sit closer to the wheel wells)

p11200191024x768.jpg

p11200201024x768.jpg

p11200211024x768.jpg

alright they fit :) the next step was to carpet them up.(im actually using black felt but it looks legit. shhhh :)

p11200221024x768.jpg

p11200231024x768.jpg

p11200261024x768.jpg

and thats as far as i am right now, still needs to be screwed together and bolted down. the top piece is in progress but thats a suprise till its finished :)

hopefully the top is done tomorrow but more likely mid week.
