soundstream15 Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 so 2 years ago i put peel and seal on my trunk lid, some of it is still on there because some of it wouldnt come off, so i bought fatmat rattle trap and put it over that and threw 2 layers on. and i did this about a year ago and since then it has not been sticking what so ever, like today when i looked it was really just hanging there, i can push on it and it will stick but not for long, im sure this is not doing anything to impove sq or spl, now if i take all that shit of and get second skin would i see better resaults Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Skullz Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 (edited) You'll need to completely clean all the residue off before applying new deadener, paint thinner, mineral spirits should be enough to get it clean to start with a fresh clean surface. EDIT: Most butyl compound deadeners will work well but it comes down to what your willing to spend for the desired effect.
