You can also make you alt put out more voltage - even a stock alt. Unless you know what you are doing, take the advice that's been given and stick with 12v batts. SnowDrifter Posted June 14, 2012 Report Share Posted June 14, 2012 16v batteries need to be charged at 18.4-19.2v (2.3-2.4v per cell) You will blow out your stock electronics if you try and feed them that much power.
