bumassjeff
Hey guys, I've never played with an 18" Mayhem so I'm just curious as to what tuning would be best? I usually tune between 30-34hz. Amp will be a DAT 2500.1 and the max box dimensions are 20"-25"H x 20"D x 40"W And It will be in an 08 Ford Escape. Looking to have sub up and port back. Thanks! OrionStang
If Brian see's this, he can give you a good general starting point as far as volume and port area. And ygpm SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

bkolfo4
I would go with 22.25" high with a double baffle for the top (giving an internal height of 20"). Stick with the 20 D and 40 W. A port 20 x 4 x 15.25 long (4" between the port internal port opening and the opposite box wall) would give you ~7 cuft tuned to 33 Hz. I am on my phone, so maybe someone like Joe will chime in with a nice design. He is great with the designs. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
