Excursion
I got a Kicker ZX2500.1 today and hooked it up to my mojos and I was tuning it and as I turned the gain up after reaching certain points the amp will shut it self off im not even nowhere near the half way point on the gain, the subsonic is set at zero, and the filter set at around 50. I do see my voltage dropping very low is this a protection mode the amp uses? Im running a stock battery and stock alternator. I plan on upgrading my alternator and I have a second battery I will be putting in the back and replacing my under hood battery also. I have it tuned low now so my voltage wont drop a lot and wont damage my amp and it is very loud for only having it set at that. I was just wondering if the amp was made to do that or is something wrong with it? Any help would be great.
Bump4life
so many things you must do. to put it simple it sounds like your amp is shutting off because you are trying to run 2500 rms off of a completely stock electrical. upgrade your electrical please edit: this will probably be one of the nicest answers you get. so much fail Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. Excursion
Yeah ive got it set way way down now but your right i do need to upgrade big 3, alternator, and batteries. Ive only got it turned up right under 1/4 gain, and no subsonic. Can i cut a hole in my floor to ground it to my chassis?? What is the best way to do that? I have it grounded to the bolt my seats are screwed to now.
