mttornquist
Here what I got done the last couple of days. got the holes for the sub drilled and installed the t-nuts. Also got the front baffle mounted for good You will have to wait to see what the little ribs on the sides will be used for, that is the only thing the clamps are holding Also got the trim panel cut to fit the trunk Picked up all the hardware that I will use to mount the sub and trip panels on Didn't expect it to be nearly this expensive, cost me $30; but its all stainless. And picked up one of these from menards, should come in handy soon! thanks for looking in, that's all for today. Leave a comment! mttornquist
Looking great. Another question... How does the aero port stay in place and not move around? There is liquid nails all over the back side that touches the back of the wall. Then the hole in the baffle is crazy tight around the pipe where it comes out, that hole is also lined with liquid nails. Hahaha it isn't going anywhere! You will see how I finishup the end of the pipe tomorrow, Ive got a good idea and it should look great!! Nice 'ol roundover: Show me some more love guys!! Leave a comment, got more coming tomorrow! DustinBolt
that box looks really nice. one question though is how smooth of a transistion is it from the straight pipe to the elbows? 1997 BMW 528i Fi ssd 12 6th order box Build Log- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/144835-rebuild-in-the-bmw-6th-order-time-update-1113/
mttornquist
that box looks really nice. one question though is how smooth of a transistion is it from the straight pipe to the elbows? I'm not really sure how to answer that man, I think its pretty good, there is obviously an edge but I think its pretty clean. I defiantly don't think it will cause much turbulence in the port though Thanks for the kind words! mttornquist
Sorry its been a couple days since the last update, been really busy lately! Meanwhile I ran my first half-marathon on Friday!! Anyways, first i had to do the wiring. You know I'm using all stainless steel hardware Holes drilled: And installed: Inside: And did some some sharpie artwork in case the paint on the ends of the bolts ever wears off. After that the top was ready to go on! I didn't have very many clamps that could reach far enough...... so i threw on a couple weights! This top is on perfect!!! After the glue was died I took a couple more shots: So whats next is I need to paint the beauty panel and make the mounts on the back of the box for the amp and the will be in and playing! Thanks for looking! Leave a comment with your thoughts! My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...lmost-complete/
