What Fasteners to secure subs?

Just as the topic says, what kind of fasteners do you guys use to secure subs to the box? Ive used t-nuts for years but ive always had to make the hole larger in the sub frame to accomadate the larger screw and id rather not do that this time around. Id like to use just screws but not sure what type of thread is best.

Hmm...the only time I've ever had an issue with the screws backing out is when the baffle is flexing badly. Will the sub be mounted vertically?

The subs will be in a bandpass box so I need to get it right the first time.

For that I would probably just use T-Nuts like you have in the past for safety. Just make sure it's braced well.

I used grade 5 bolts and lock nuts to mount the SP4 in my 4th order bp box. As far as tnuts go, I'm not a fan of them unless they're 1/4" or bigger. The smaller ones always give me problems

So definitely some sort of bolt rather then screws.

what kind like stripping the lock nut or just won't hold down
