Baydestrian
I've never understood why ppl use 3 subs, only odd number of subs setups I see, when it will give you a weird ohm load. Only amp I could see working with that is a Slash series from JL since they are 1.5-4ohms stable with the same amount of power at any load. /Rant Quote 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical

Better running 3 right size subs in the enclosure, then cramming 4 that require more airspace, and sounding like shit due to lack of space. Also running 3 subs, You can wire lower then, say maybe .7 instead of .5, and not increase the risk of blowing your amp as much. That is my theoretical answer.
