SnowDrifter
Funny you say that... Some people that were visiting the show (not competing, just checking it out) wanted some crossfire equipment after seeing it happen ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

SnowDrifter
I'll try not to hahaYou know... Is it just me or are the coils on my recones a wee bit thicker than the ones that came out of the subs? Hmmm..... Curious to see what that does with the t/s parameters of the sub ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
TheBetterMethod
I think they're the same. It's just the darkness of the old coil making it look thinner. You should be reconing right now, not surfing the forums. SnowDrifter
Lol New coil is on the bottom. Look at the width. Windings are a bit narrower, but the overall width of the coil... Looks wider almost? Or am I just crazy ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
TheBetterMethod
OOPS! Yeah I see what you're saying now. The new coil is a little bigger, tighter in the gap. Quiet
Unless it's the same exact soft parts that went into the original sub, then you won't have the same T/S. Moving mass looks like it's already a bit higher. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
