Zak Katzer Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 i have a current XS power D975 hooked up to stock battery using 4 gauge wiring and the battery dies with in the day. charged it up to 11.7 volts this very afternoon, and i can already notice a huge drop in the performance of my subs. i have 2 skar audio VVX 12's and a 1500 watt power acoustik amp. i am looking for a change of battery, any feedback helps 2012 Silverado ext cab Kenwood DDX470 XS D3400 (starter) XS D375 (under passenger seat) XS d3100 Mechman 240 Big three SMD VM-1 All SHCA wire 80 sq feet of Damplifier 6.5 Crescendo CZ's (front doors) (needed) 5..25 Crescendo CZ's (back door) (needed) Crescendo 125.4 (needed) Sundown Zv4 12 Skar 4500 (2ohm)
ChillMasterWill Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 sounds like you have more issues than the battery or batteries charging up to only 11.7 volts is not good at all you need to get your alty checked out, try unhooking the xs power battery from the stock battery one cloud be draining the other... Ballen194 Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 the xs is a sweet battery but 1: dont mix stock wet cell batts with anything other that wet cell batts, as with agm, gel, etc. 2: charging up to 11.7 is under what you need to be charging at. are you saying that your batt is resting at 11.7 or itss charging at 11.7? either way its not good for your xs to be sitting so low. get new alt or new charger.
