8ight
Car - '06 Ford Expedition LT Amps and power - Strapped RUB1.2500Ds, Clamped power ~4800W @14.8v, running on plenty of XS power batts and 2 externally regulated ohio gen alternators of some size. Desired box - 1" MDF fiberglassed inside double baffle for sub mount, size depending on driver, 6-8" diameter aero port length depending on driver So my buddy has been doing bass race competitions for a while now with his two HDC3 15s running on the amps and power below. I've been to a few comps with him and he does pretty good besides breaking out of his class all the time during elimination rounds so he wanted to start burping. The HDC3s DO NOT like burping on so much power (I've now helped him recone both of them in the same day. One cooked a coil so you could stand on the sub and it wouldn't go down, we beat that bitch out with a hammer, one just made a scratchy noise when pushed on and wouldn't play, had infinite resistance on the multimeter). He's now looking for some new 15s or 12s and I told him I knew who to ask I don't know jack about burping, what subs would do well in that back of an SUV in a tiny box with a BIG aero port on his amps?
