Audiojunkie23 Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Hello all, Just wondering on what would be a good woofer to run in an Isobaric setup? The set up where one woofer is mounted directly behind the other. (Don't know the actuall terms) I was thinking the Sundown E-8v.2 or the D.A.D AMH10's? Just wondering if it would be bad to use woofers that have big motor structures or large mounting depths? P.S. I don't have the pockets for Blues Audio equipment. Thanks!
BobbyG2 Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 I'd imagine something with a low QTS? So it doesn't sound too peaky. Wait for an expert to respond lol *New vehicle and system coming soon.*

Blues Audio merged into Linear Power. If I were you I would buy those 2 BL8 that are on ebay. They are the older ones but they are just as good as the new ones. 98 Chevy Blazer 4 Door Stock Everything The New Setup 1 - Pioneer AVH-P5200DVD 1- Pioneer DEH-80PRS 2 - Blues Audio 5.25 Mids ( On the dash ) 2 - Blues Audio BL8.0C Components ( In the front doors ) 2 - Blues Audio BL8.0 Woofers ( In the rear doors ) 1 - Linear Power 952 ( Dash ) 1 - Linear Power 2202IQ Modified ( Components ) 1 - Linear Power 3002 ( Rear Doors ) 1 - SoundStream XBP-10 Processor 1 - SoundStream BX-20Z 2 - SoundStream DTR1.3400D 4 - RE Audio SX12D4

bassface Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Not many people run isobaric anymore. Subwoofers can take so much more power nowadays then they used to be able to when isobaric enclosures were in style.

Not many people run isobaric anymore. Subwoofers can take so much more power nowadays then they used to be able to when isobaric enclosures were in style. That's why I want to do it. Something different by todays standards. I still have to do some research on it though.

Iso is perfect for SQ systems. 98 Chevy Blazer 4 Door Stock Everything The New Setup 1 - Pioneer AVH-P5200DVD 1- Pioneer DEH-80PRS 2 - Blues Audio 5.25 Mids ( On the dash ) 2 - Blues Audio BL8.0C Components ( In the front doors ) 2 - Blues Audio BL8.0 Woofers ( In the rear doors ) 1 - Linear Power 952 ( Dash ) 1 - Linear Power 2202IQ Modified ( Components ) 1 - Linear Power 3002 ( Rear Doors ) 1 - SoundStream XBP-10 Processor 1 - SoundStream BX-20Z 2 - SoundStream DTR1.3400D 4 - RE Audio SX12D4
Audiojunkie23 Posted July 2, 2012 Author Report Posted July 2, 2012 ^^ That also. I'm leaning more toward a SQ set up as apposed to a SPL set up.
