Akslowroller
So I am starting my build this weekend and I don't think I will have enough $$ to buy all the batteries I need. So my question is, is it safe to run my rockford t4000.1 on just my 270amp alt with my single red top. I am going to be picking up another battery in a few weeks but if I finish my box I would like to run my amp. Is it safe?
OrionStang
I would wait for batteries but that's just me. Can you wire to a higher ohm load until you get more electrical? Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
TeamHT
I would definitely not run that at 1 ohm nominal with that electrical. Like Ken said, wire to a higher ohm load until you get some batteries. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
Akslowroller
I would wait for batteries but that's just me. Can you wire to a higher ohm load until you get more electrical? Yes I can. I will be running 2 dual 4 ohm Orion HCCA's.
Akslowroller
What if I add an extra yellow top for now. It would help a little. And I have an extra one.
OrionStang
So run it at 4 ohms for now. Throw that yellow top in, too. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Akslowroller
Just so I'm in the know what are the risks of running low voltage?
