t-money Posted July 5, 2012 Report Share Posted July 5, 2012 ok so i have a 2002 ford focus zx3 DOHC ztech. mechman 220a alt with adjustable voltage harness and big three. the alt has been fine for the last 3 weeks but now when im driving if i get up to around 3000 rpm the voltage just falls to 12.6 ish. but is u rev it slowly it wont fall. brand new belt. any ideas? Jessica Posted July 5, 2012 Report Share Posted July 5, 2012 I guess you could start by checking that voltage regulator, What is the normal charging voltage? Also, does it drop voltage right after it shifts gears? If it does then it might just be a bad connection. Just some ideas.
