cvxsmitty58 Posted July 8, 2012 Report Posted July 8, 2012 So heres the deal. I have a 4 channel precision power amp running my 4 doors. About a week ago i noticed that it felt as though there was someone punching my front left door. So over the past week its been getting worse and worse until finally i took off the door panel and noticed this: mind you there is no sound going to the speaker and sometimes it literally sounds like theres a midget in there trying to get out. So i switched the rcas to make sure that it wasnt coming from the headunit and that didnt change anything so then i switched the speaker wires and sure enough it started popping the right front speaker. Is my amp bad? anything i could do to fix it?

RooTxBeeR Posted July 8, 2012 Report Posted July 8, 2012 Yeah I think that amp is done. If there are no RCA connected, and the ground is fine, then there should be no sound being produced at all.
