There was a guy on here a while back that fried his buddies t4000 amp and everyone seemed to think it was cause he plugged another brand's bass know into it. Guest Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 yes it has to be for that specific brand, and for that specific model generation. like if you use a kicker knob made for a 2005 amp, and you put it on a 2012 amp, it MAY mess it up
