160 is pretty high for a stock. Think mine's around 90. Not sure why you'd need to add another unless you got a serious system. I mean I've looked up some alts and they output like 190. But shouldn't matter what amperage the other alt is as others stated. Just make sure it's the same current. Don't want one runnin 12V and another 18V or whatnot. That'd be a problem.

if you can fabricate some sort of bracket yourself or find somewhere to put it, that's not a bad price. 2 stock 160a alts would work good

Or you could get one big one that might outperform the 2 stocks....a lot more expensive option

what vehicle is this on? yes you can mix amperage.

on my tahoe i was running my stock 160 amp alt, and had a 300 amp iraggi on my dual bracket running only the system

stock alts are known to have some pretty bad output, its not wise to buy an oem alt and expect 160 amps
