bassface Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Just route the edges of the squares with a 3/4" roundover bit, and sand the box till all the edges are even. re paint or wrap. Actually route all the edges on it. Also countersink all the screws and fill them.
imnew59585 Posted July 11, 2012 Author Report Posted July 11, 2012 well i dont got a router, well b4 i get a head of myself i need ideas on was to innovate to work with the tools i got (table saw, drill and jig, ) i cant cut perfect circles on the jig so is there any other way i can cut the subs out?
kingleo Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Scrap that shit, it was good practice. Now go buy some more wood and take your time this time. Build a new one. Take your time measure twice and cut once. Center your subs. If cutting the wood is an issue home depot or lowes can cut your pieces. Good try, I've seen worse from audio shops. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/77708-2002-millenia-system-re-build/page__view__findpost__p__1070977__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110130-2000-acura-integra-gs-4-door/page__view__findpost__p__1536749__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1

You can cut real close to perfect circle with a jigsaw. Trace your cut out lines and go slow your not in a race. Then you can sand down any areas that need to be rounded smooth. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/77708-2002-millenia-system-re-build/page__view__findpost__p__1070977__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110130-2000-acura-integra-gs-4-door/page__view__findpost__p__1536749__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1

Do you have subs you're planning on getting and building it for them? Just wondering what you're using to determine the box specs. www.facebook.com/BILLatDivineCreationsPhoto He was taunting me. imnew59585 Posted July 11, 2012 Author Report Posted July 11, 2012 what may i use as a template for the 12s?
imnew59585 Posted July 11, 2012 Author Report Posted July 11, 2012 well if im correct, im looking at the ab XD or the TNT the box even tho it looks like crap it should be 1.7 to 1.8 cubes of space per chamber then the port, (the12volt helped) and it should be between 32-35 herts , but i have no clue how it turned out
kingleo Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 what may i use as a template for the 12s? You can grab a tape measure. Measure the sub across the middle, then measure where the sub screw holes are. It's usually about a 1/2" give or take. All are different. Then subtract it from the sub measurement. If the 12 is 12 3/4 and the edges are 1/2" each subtract an inch for a 11 3/4 cut out. Now use a piece of scrap drill a center hole and one at 5 3/8 and draw your circle. Or if the sub has a rubber gasket you can just trace that.
