reg93f150 Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 i havent tested it in any which way or form.. i just bought 2 kicker compvx12's and im about to buy the amp ither a 2500-3000 watt planet audio amp. (yeah i know the amps bad, im gonna get that and save up for a better amp in the future) with that being said, i was wondering what i would have to do, get a new better battery as my only battery? or if i should get a 2nd battery and run the stuff to that.. or just get a new alternator and keep my single battery. or if anyone else has any different suggestions ( im not gonna get a cap ) ALL CREDIT TO XX1 FOR DC BANNER down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub
poorfish88 Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 I wouldn't buy that amp, I'd buy a smaller amp that I could afford that is good quality. The smaller amp would have resell value while PA would have little value. I'd buy an AGM battery that fits the max dims of my factory location. If your going to be getting a real 3000 watt amp then I'd add a second battery in the back as big as I could fit with a Singer Alt.
Tim Lam Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 agree with poorfish88. get a smaller QUALITY amp. idk about planet audio >.> but if you start out with a smaller amp, but keep upgrading more and more. the order i would do is: 1upgrade the wet cell(under the hood) battery) 2 add a 2nd battery to the back 3upgrade alternator (i prefer Kinetik batteries and DC power alternators)
