its a volume boost but i never thought of it like that ill just turn that off. But do you think the cone would be getting hot from clipping or from having shitty voltage? I know with my old subs before i had an alt and batt my cones would heat up pretty hot then once i did some voltage upgrades i was able to crank everything up and the cones didnt heat up once in 2 years of abuse

some amps dont like having there gains up maybe u need more input voltage

So...low power at 2 ohms, guarantee you're lucky to see 1300 watts, and so the gain is cranked to compensate. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. You're only luck the sub you're abusing isn't run of the mill, assembly line subs, but a very stout performer or you'd have had burned shit long ago.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
