Hey everybody, was wondering if anybody has had their amps modded and if so by who? How much did it cost and what did you get done?

I'm curious by what you mean by modded?

1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. Box is 3.5cu tuned at 31.8hz sealed off from the trunk. 14sqft of Dynamat on the Rear deck top & bottom. Soon to be more for doors/roof. Gets low & loud

Did a 140.5 Sealed at Battle of the boom in June 2013 dropping to 12.7v (need a alt mines going bad)

 what are you planning to do????

Would like to do a power supply upgrade and upgrade the capacitors, maybe more.. Not sure. I really just want to push 3500 at 1 ohm

To my knowledge, only Linear Power and TRU Technologies modify their amps ...

What type of amp do you have ??

Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co

Questions About Sound Quality ?? Try Here ... Sound Quality, What does it REALLY mean ??

SMD SOTM Winner "White Lightning" 1997 GMT400 Chevy Silverado

"The Green Dickle" 1994 GMT400 Chevy "Phantom Dually"

Randal's 2007 Chevy Avalanche (we haven't named this one yet)

Dylan's "Brutal" 17 Chevy Cruze RS Hatch

No offense but this seems a bit pointless. i would just sell that and get an entirely new amp.

but that is weird that a soundstream isn't even 1ohm stable.

a lot of their amps i've seen(new ones anyways) are .5ohm stable :shok:

They mod the shit out of amps on diyaudio, but Its pretty advanced stuff i think.

lmao i hope not too badly.

but i'm sure there are fools out there who have tried it.

like sticking a 30psi turbo in a Honda Civic ._." fail
