252chevyboyz
Hey whats up man. I have been helped many times on boxes and figured I would try to help out on this one. What are your max dimensions? LxWxH Are you looking to have the sub facing up or towards the back? Port to the back? What size box as far cubic feet are you looking for? 2.5-3.5ft^3? I dont have any experience with this sub but with 2" of excursion either way I would think it might need to be a tab bit on the larger side. -James Quote - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

teamace24
What box did you have on it before? My friend had one 12 about 3 years ago and the shop convinced him to by the "special orion" box they had for them which basically just a thick small sealed box. He had a kicker zx1500 running to it at 2 ohms(1500rms) and it just was not loud at all. He could have ran a ported box and got louder but i also felt that the sub was very power hungry and needed more rms. I recommend getting more real power not like that zrx you have at least go brz2400 or brz3000 and DEFINITELY make a big ported box tuned low 32-36 Quote 1st Setup(SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 Audioque SDC2.5 15 subs8.7 cubes at 37hz build DONEAudioque 1200d (Audioque 1200d Sold, similar performance to my ap1500)Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 Mids n TweetsCerwin Vega Exl 400 4 channel Bridged(also have MTX 4004 not being used)1 Run of power Knu Fleks 4 Gauge2 Cheap stock Battery setup2nd Setup (SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 15 Kicker cvx (maybe two SA 15 in future)7 cubes net tuned at 34hzAlphasonik Old school 1600rms (ap 1500d sold GREAT Budget amp)JBL 6.5 Power Series Components, Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 ways, and 2 Kicker KS Tweets (LOUD)Cerwin vega exl4001 run knu Fleks OFC 0 gaugeBig 3 done1 Odyssey 1500, 1 optima yellow top d31

(just wanna make sure before I build) Also, what's wrong with the ZRX amps?
teamace24
I read some time ago when the rep for maxxsonics wrote that their zrx 4 channels were not doing rated, so the monoblocks also dont. The brz do rated or at least very close to rated ive had a few and the brutus and brz are good budget amps. I think that the 3000.1D is about right for your sub giving about 2.5-2.6K real.
