LoudBimmer
Well, after replacing the belt with 59" one, it's still not working. Same thing.

LoudBimmer
It was suppose to be a "plug and play" install. Looks like the regulator is not working, because the belt is on really tight.
n8ball2013
Told you it wasn't the belt. You charged higher than that with your stock right? LoudBimmer
Told you it wasn't the belt. You charged higher than that with your stock right? Yea. With stock I was at 14.0-14.2. Other thing is, when I took stock alternator out, it wasn't spinning at all. Stuck. Even then, voltage was ~14v.
LoudBimmer
So I ordered a new stock alternator, and the same exact thing is happening again. With everything off and car at idle, voltage is 14v. If I turn the radio, heater and head lights on, it would go down to ~13.6v. If I also roll the windows down, it drops down to 13.2v. If I rev the engine up to 2-2.5k and let go, it would drop down to 13.2v. The pulley on alternator is very hot to touch and belt if kind of worm. What could the problem be????
