Hellbound Train
Well I took my hairline cracked d3100 out. It had been sitting under the false floor and dropped to 10.11 volts seeing as it hadnt been charged in some time. I come up with a crazy idea to throw some jumper cables to it from the ranger and let the singer alt do some work. Well I let the truck run some and the batt is back at 12.98 volts. Ill test the batt again later to see where it sits but it seems to have worked as far as getting the batt back up in voltage.
TheBetterMethod
Where exactly is the crack and how big is it? Pics? I assume it isn't leaking anything. If it is... youz crazy. Hellbound Train
Well I was under the carport with plenty of ventilation in case it gassed but it never has or if it would have I would have been out long ago since it has set in the truck for so long. Hellbound Train
look on the left side of the batt you will see the crack. I let the voltage gauge sit on it for a few minutes and it went from 10.01 to 10.11 before I even attempted to charge it. ch0sen
you can ask nathan at xs power about the crack, but i've heard that having batteries drop to that low of a voltage is really bad for them.
