Joe X Posted July 17, 2012 Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 To a termlab the side ported box can be louder (all other things being equal like port area, tuning net vol etc), the shared port have it's own advantages like symmetrical loading and self bracing, if by any chance the side ported design does not load symmetrically then it will lose output.
