SMZ2's Xterror. 1st Hairtrick!

Recommended Posts

I got my rcas and power wire ran. I ran out of daylight and decent weather so the 1/0 is not terminated yet. I think I may barely have enough to finish up the amp runs and other short runs though.

Some L brackets possibly?

I was thinking that would be the more solid of my choices. I was thinking that or the 2x2s.

That was my other thought too. How are the doors going along?

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

I'm going to try and run speaker wire to the doors tomorrow while the interior is stripped. I need to put at least a layer on the front and then I think I'm going to wrap them in black fur.

where do you get your glass mat and resin from?

Homedepot glassmat prices make my eyes hurt

Walmart... They have it in the automotive section. For a pack of glass mat and a gallon of resin it is about 40 bucks give or take.

thanks for responding

how many cu ft do you think you can cover with 1 pack of mat from walmart?

I did about 2 layers on the back of my doors with a pack. The glass mat packs are like 5 bucks if you already have resin.

Id look at Us Composites, for glass goods.

Anyway, looks like its gonna be fun.

Yeah I'm thinking about going through them for glass for the wall and to finish the doors. 3m resin is horrible to work with.
