KenC210
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4993_Scosche-SLC-4.html so i was thinking about getting this to put a amp and sub in my car, but the only thing im worried about is that it says it only accepts 80watts per channel. Now my thing is that more than likely i will be putting a lot more watts per channel so is there anything i should be worried about or will it be just fine. KenC210
Alright so i am going to replace the speakers and fabricate a box for a 8" sub with a 5 channel amp. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44461_Crunch-P1-5050.5.html this is the amp im may get. So would i still be of if i used an rca splitters and this much power from an amp on that line out convertor? And this is why i dont want to replace the head unit... Bump4life
yes. understand how a LOC works. it takes in a high level or powered signal (up to 80 watts running continous power) and outputs a low level (1-4volts) rca signal that goes to your amp. your amps power output has no limit if connected to LOC. it only receives signal from the LOC. Your head unit most likely puts out somewhere areound 20 rms so you are 60 rms under the max power your LOC can take before it burns up. edit: oh wow thats not even aftermarket head unit, you might be getting 10 rms out of it depending how good it is. and also if you are running a 5 channel amp make sure you get a 4 chanel LOC or 2 2 channel LOC. Personally i have never heard the one you are looking at but I run 2 PAC SNI-35 and they sound great. I had to crappier ones before and they sounded like crap. and make sure not to peg gains when you set. it will introduce distortion and clipping into system Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
