Is there a way to tell if Hertz speakers are fake

Recommended Posts

according to UltimateLocator dot com there are three autorized dealers in my area, so it's a good chance these are real!

It could also have nothing to do with any local authorized dealers.

I've been to one of those traveling liquidation sales (had car audio gear, clothes, jewelry, etc). It was shady as hell though. They were trying to sell crap like Pyle for about 3 times the price, plus you had to pay to get in to shop in the first place. There were so many obvious knockoffs everywhere, but they did have some legitimate products.

I figured that I would throw that out there, just in case

Last liquidation around here only had Alpine and Kicker pretty much, and you were better off/paying cheaper by just going to Best Buy and buying from there. The atmosphere at auctions are just fun to be around though.

Yeah this will be my first auction, so I'll go and see what's up. This is an auction company located with-in the state, so it's not a traveling rip-off. If I don't feel good about it I won't bid, but I have to go just to see if these look legit and see if I can get them for a good price if they are. I'll let you guys know what happens.

I didn't take pics of of them, but the surround was wrong where the screw holes are and one of the drivers had a square basket.

^^ so all but 1 had round baskets? lol. what a dead give away.

evey once in a while there are liqudation sales here and if you go on the first and last day you can get some good deals. the first day is when all the legit stuff sales. ive seen some of the higher end pioneer double din touchscreens brand new go for about 150-200. then they had a few sets of rockford speakers in an enclosure sell for under 200 each. got a brand new sony camera for 150 dropped it and broke it the same day went back there the last day and they asked me how i like the camera, told them it dropped and broke the same day and they gave me a new one free with a case...

some of those sales are legit. some of those sales arent. some of them have "vendors" from several places and only some of them are legit. the only way to tell is if you go and check it out.
