What is a good score for a trunk car w/ daily tuning for daily driving?

Recommended Posts

We are still talking a daily, and music here???...... my first look at this thread... sorry, im late to this party..... anyway,

Never been on a meter,....

but trying to get respectably loud (just from ear hole meter) from the trunk seems to be very difficult for me at least. And, i cant stand the rattles. Id think if your lower and mid 40's, your doing some damage.....(christ, i think im gunning to break 40's?.. dunno?) .

Then those like OREN and those others that are into or even close to the 50's i think is a great accomplishment,...... very respectable, i think.

Yes sir.......well, i can vent through the old 6X9 grills on the deck lid,......and tuned around 37-38....... so, im not gonna impress anyone here....LOL.... I know, i know, fire forward, and seal it off....... but, there is more to the story... LOL.... I do have to say,... it can make SOME movment, and get decently annoying,... i think my power on tap, amplifiers, and processing are saving my ass there..... ......... maybe after i get a lil bit more buzzed,..... ill hook the amp back up (i was throwing the idea of pulling everything) and my rear 31hun, and make a vid ???.... anyone interested? I really dunno where to go with the build ATM.... ???

EDIT - kinda why i was checking this thread out....

Well, really, the rearward fire is not total taboo bro,...the waves really do hit you, no matter the direction of the actually driver.... , and firing forward isnt the end all be all of getting some tunnage to your ear hole......especially if your not totally sealed off......What im dealing with, along with other trunk builds,... is SPACE!!..... if your building in the trunk, chances are,.. it might be a LIL bit difficult bringing 18's into the mix....lol..... Know what i mean?

kylar, we all know bass isnt directional. it goes in all directions out of box. but although the waves do get to you, they may not get to you with intensity. if you took that trim panel out to flus box and allow more area for waves to get in ca it may help? do your rear seats fold down? or how can you get bass into th ecabin?
