Robert8252
The stock rear spring rate is around 100lbs a inch. So another words. Every 200lbs added in the car drops it an inch and so on. Plus wear over time. Equals the shitty rear suspension you see on every single Taurus on the road with 8 fat ass people in it with the back end dragging on the ground. They are just way too soft. The ones I posted are from a 91-95 Taurus that are a direct fit and are 150lb rate. With nothing in the car it's a little bumpy but with anything in the trunk or passengers they make a huge difference. Had them on mine for over two years and still have better ride height then it came from the factory. Your front suspension will cause a ton of vibration as well if not replaced as needed. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
hershy314
If this guy wants to bag his Taurus I say let him, it's his money. I have owned a taurus, it was a 93 and I loved it. Damn thing handled better than any other car I have owned. For a small 3.0v6 the thing was pretty quick, hell I wanted to bad the damn thing myself. Even found a kit on airbaigit.com that as a bolt in kit for that car, I think they even had one for the 05. http://athphotography.deviantart.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/hershy314

Crandis16
I personally wouldn't bag it, but you do whatever the hell makes you happy. I kinda thought it would be cool to bad and slam my escort, but it's at the end of it's life so I didn't really see it being worth it. CLNSHVNnDRAGGN
It looks like you've already decided to go a different route but I figured I would throw in my $.02 anyway. The car has macpherson suspension so you would be stuck going with strut bags. Strut bags ride like shit on 99% of the vehicles they are made for and that's a lot of money to throw away on a suspensions setup that I can tell you right now, from personal experience, isn't going to do what you want it to. Also, given the car we're talking about, if you spend the money to try it anyway you're going to be stuck with some very expensive paper weights because what are the chances you will find another person that wants to bag one of those? www.facebook.com/BILLatDivineCreationsPhoto He was taunting me. He's all like "come at me bro!" So I'm like "I'm coming at you bro!" And he's like "hey, fuck you" *chomp*. Then I killed it. I win. ^^^ you have truly taken being a lazy fuck to a new level tonight, an MRE. WOW

SojiaRaggs9000
When I replaced my rears on my GEN IV, I used the Monroe Matic Struts (cost me $140 for the pair) and Moog CC859 cargo coils ($70 for the pair) Did all the work myself , total cost of $210. The cargo coils have a higher spring rate. I had about 400+ lbs of audio equiptment in the trunk. With the stock struts and coils I was botteming out on small bumps. With the cargo coils I could hit the rail road tracks doing 75 and not feel a thing. Moog CC859 Coils and Monroe Matic struts Before: You can defiantly tell these 215/35r20's weren't no where near wide enough. I used to not even beable to fit 1 finger in beteween the fender and the tire's tread. After: Changed to some 255/30r20's. Unloaded (no one in the vehicle) the pics don't look dramatically different. Although now I can drive freely with 4 people and not worry about bottoming out on every little bump. (took these pics on my iphone, cam got lent to my mom sorry) Thats not the side thats the top And while I was down there I figured I show there is no rubbing. Its very close (about 1/8" of room lol but its fine) Thats with front the wheel turned all the way to the left. (photobucket is being screwy as well ... what looks like ground on bottem is actually the inside fender material.
